Just wanted to jump online to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday. I'll be having a traditional Christmas Day with the family, but I'll be online with a new photoset on Monday if all goes as plan.

Harry Potter

So have you seen the latest Harry Potter yet? I finally got around to it this weekend. I waited a while so as to cut down on the number of kids. It's not that I hate kids so much as I hate that they cant sit still and be quiet during movies. And this movie is nearly 3 hours.

I do not read the books, I wait for the movies since I know they're coming out relatively quickly. The story is starting to turn pretty dark. I still enjoyed it, but I do not know if I would've when I was say 10 years old. It might've made me cry and have nightmares.

I also wonder how they're going to deal with the actors aging so quickly. In this movie Harry is 14 but looks 16-17. Some of the other characters have had their hormones be even less kind. I wonder how they're going to pull it off if they stay with the same cast and match the timeline of the books which is one book per school year.

Turkey Day

While sitting around rubbing our bellies after the annual Thanksgiving Feast, I was debating with some family members whether Turkey Day is now perhaps THE largest holiday in the U.S. Everyone immediately thinks Christmas, but think about it a bit.

EVERYONE in the U.S. pretty much celebrates Thanksgiving in one way or another no matter what religion they have. Most people spend Christmas with their immediate family or perhaps even travel if they dont have kids to deal with. Whereas Thanksgiving is one where people travel to have one big meal with those relatives you normally only bump into at funerals and weddings.

It also always creates a 4 day weekend. Everything about Thanksgiving is the "largest of the year". Largest shopping day of the year. Largest travel day of the year.

I think Christmas is only thought of as being larger because more businesses are closed and the religious significance. Oh, and the fact you get presents of course!

I think I'll go ponder this further while I sleep off the tryptophan.

Parking Lot Whack-a-Mole

Last night myself and a couple of friends went out for dinner at a small seafood restaurant. This restaurant happens to be in a shopping center that is on one of the trendy streets for night clubs in town. Traffic is always bad on this road and becomes horrible as the night progresses. We planned to be out long before people started clubbing, so we didn't think too much about it.

We had a nice dinner, and decided to walk it off when we came out by walking to a market that was about a block away instead of trying to make 3 left turns in traffic. We spent a half hour or so shopping and brought our bags back to the car to head for home. When we got to the car our jaw dropped. The parking lot and all of the aisles were full and a complete madhouse.

Seems a trendy night club at the other end of the strip mall we parked in was having a special promotion where everyone who arrived before 9PM got in free. Obviously they didn't plan for the crowd this would pull in.

We couldn't move anyway, so we got into the car, turned on the radio and enjoyed some of the goodies we bought at the market while watching the chaos. The fun began when the owner of the seafood restaurant we ate at noticed what was going on. His customers had no place to park. The guy is visibly angry and marches down to the club and obviously tells them to keep their patrons out of his parking spots or he'll have them towed.

At this point, he has a couple of his guys out in the seafood restaurant's section of the parking lot guarding spots as they open up. Anyone who tries to pull in is asked if they're eating there, and if not they're told they can't park there. This turns into a hilarious game of whack-a-mole. While the guys are trying to run someone out of one parking spot, two others will slip into another. They must be being told anyone parked at the restaurant will be towed because within 10 minutes, each one hikes back from the nightclub and then moves their car.

We sat and watched the mayhem until it cleared up. I guess we were bored, but we found it quite entertaining, and we couldn't move anyway. The aisles were clogged and the poor parking lot attendants had to feel like they were herding cats.

Private Balcony

As you can see in my latest set of pictures, I was outside on a hotel balcony getting naked for the camera. This wasn't a big deal as it was pretty darn private since the view from the window was of a rooftop.

However, there was an office building across the street that had a good view. I figured since it was late afternoon on a Saturday I was pretty safe, but by the time I was done there were 3 windows with people standing and watching.

I didn't see any binoculars though, so it's not like they could really see anything, but it was kinda funny knowing there were people who were dedicated enough to be at work on a weekend who were getting an unexpected treat.

The Party Was Fun

I think I ate too much candy, but we all had a really good time. No, there weren't any late night party crashers, so no boy stories to share with you. :)

Oh, there was one part that I think you'd like to hear about... we played strip poker. :)

It started off as just a poker game which was kicked off because some poker game was on TV. I'm not really a poker player, but I do have a basic understanding of the game. Besides, we weren't playing for money, we were playing for candy. Eventually one of the girls ran out of Skittles and jokingly offered her shirt as payment... and we all accepted.

Well, that did that. From then on the candy was worthless and we played for clothes. The biggest problem was we weren't dressed for it. This started around 1am and I don't think anyone was wearing more than bra/panty/shirt/shorts/socks, so we didn't have to wait too long for someone to go "all in" and lose every bit of clothes. To keep it more entertaining we made everyone who lost everything stay at the table until the game was over.

By 2:30 in the morning you had 2 girls playing, only wearing panties and socks, and 8 other girls watching in the buff.

I was one of the ones in the buff. Good thing the heat was working!

After the final hand was won, the winner was a good sport and stripped off her panties and danced on the table in celebration.

Wish you could have been there. :)

Slumber Party

A friend of mine from high school is having a slumber party tonight as a kinda-sorta-halloween party for girls, so that's where I'm gonna be. Though the "for girls" part is debatable as I suspect there may be a party crasher or two showing up in the wee hours. :)

I think the plan is to watch some scary movies and give out treats to any kids who happen to be going out a night early, but there has to be something more interesting happening than that. Maybe I'll bring a camera and see if I can sneak some pictures for you guys. :) Then again, if I did that I'd likely never get invited to another party again, so perhaps I'd better not...
